Welcome to the Wywood Community Website

The Wywood neighborhood is located on the northeast shore of Lake Mary in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, just minutes from the town center. With 41 primarily single family homes, Wywood offers lake living plus walking-distance access to restaurants, shopping, golf, and more. In winter, the community is a hub of ice and snow sport activities, including a 15-minute drive to local skiing, tubing, and snowboarding in Wilmot.

Twin Lakes:

Twin Lakes is located at the Illinois/Wisconsin border, just east of U.S. Hwy. 12 in western Kenosha County. The two namesake lakes are Lake Elizabeth, to the south, and Lake Mary, to the north.

Incorporated in 1937, Twin Lakes has a long history, first as a home site for Native Americans, and later where ice was harvested and sent by rail to refrigerate home ice boxes. The two lakes hold nearly 1,000 acres of fresh spring-fed water. As a result, the area draws vacationers in all seasons.

With all the amenities needed in its shopping and dining area on the north end of Lake Mary, Twin Lakes is home to roughly 6,000 residents, about one-third of who reside part-time. Lake Mary also is home to the world-famous, highly awarded Aquanuts ski team – which performs free of charge on Wednesday and Saturday nights, Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Wywood:

Wywood itself is comprised of part-time and permanent residents. The community has two private boat piers for its residents and a western facing exposure for some of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable.
